SunLoop is a 3rd-place award-winning service by Team 4ALL designed to build lifelong sun protection habits in children. It features a gamified public dispenser (Sun Station) and a supportive at-home device (Family Shield) that turn SPF application into a fun, consistent, and rewarding routine.
I’m beyond proud to share that my team 4ALL has won 3rd place in the Global Student Service Design Challenge 2025—in the ISDIN category! Out of over 1,000 students from around the world, making it this far has been a truly unforgettable experience.
The challenge invited us to design people-centered, future-oriented services, and we chose the ISDIN brief: “Creating Healthy Habits from the Start.” Our mission was to help children build lifelong sun protection habits in a way that’s engaging, sustainable, and seamlessly woven into their everyday routines.
Our project, SunLoop, is a two-part service aimed at children aged 7–12:
⭐ ISDIN Sun Station – a public sunscreen dispenser designed for parks, beaches, and schools, gamifying SPF use through storytelling, games, and social interaction.
⭐ ISDIN Family Shield – an at-home dispenser to support daily use and reinforce the habit.
With features like QR code rewards for families and playful design elements, SunLoop taps into peer influence, trend-following, and a child’s desire for independence—turning SPF into a fun and consistent routine.
Working with Yara Tarhini, Marion Vincey, and Nour Yacoub my teammates and friends made this 5-month journey truly special. I’m incredibly proud of what we created together. 💛
A massive thank you to our coach Shilpa Marathe for your unwavering guidance, and to Clara Llamas, our Academic Director at IE School of Architecture and Design, for believing in us throughout!
